Buying the correct bra size is not enough! You need to be able to put the bra on correctly to ensure your breasts are sitting properly in the cup and getting the support they need.
1
THE UNDERBAND
Put your arms in the straps, lean forward and allow the breasts to fall naturally into the cups
Leaning forward ensures the fullest part of the bust is the fullest part of the cup
Do the bra up from behind
We recommend that when you buy your bra it should fit on the first hook and eye. In time, the bra may stretch so this ensures that you can tighten the underbrand as the bra loosens.
2
THE CUP
Whilst holding the underwire in position, lift each breast inside the cup
Alternatively, hold the wires in place, lean forward and ‘jiggle’ from side to side
Remember the wires should follow the line of your breasts and not encroach on your breast tissue
The cups should fit smoothly, with no wrinkling or gaping of material nor any breast tissue spilling out the top or side of the cups
3
THE STRAPS
Now adjust the straps
Only 20% of support should come from the straps
If your straps are digging in we’d recommend a new bra fitting
